Following on from the great 2012 release, ‘Break The Silence’, GUN are back with a new album ‘Frantic’. GUN will be bringing their new album to the Academy 2 on Wednesday October 7th.

GUN’s contemporary take on authentic rock gave them an edge over their peers during the late-80s. Formed in Glasgow by the Gizzi brothers, they came to re-invent the rock ‘n’ roll genre. In September 2010, ‘Taking On the World’ was included in Classic Rock magazine’s list of the 150 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time. Kerrang Magazine gave the album 5K, stating ‘The brilliance of Taking On The World Comes As No Surprise’ while Phil Alexander called it “…pop rock at its finest”. ‘Taking On The World’ marked a milestone in the Scottish band’s history, selling more than 60K in the UK alone and the single ‘Better Days’ chartered in the UK top 40.

Vocalist Dante Gizzi says… “It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since we recorded ‘Taking On The World’ in Park Lane Studios. Like all bands that first start out recording their debut album we had no inhibitions, not needing to worry about retaining any level of success as we hadn’t been there before, we just wanted to record an album that WE wanted to make. So proud of what we achieved with that album and just so happy that it’s been given a proper re-release.”
