Your money will go towards the radio licence fee for Room 101.

Room 101 is a community based digital radio station broadcasting from the Camden Palace Hotel in Cork city. Since August 2014 we’ve been bringing you an eclectic mix of alternative music (from metal to punk rock to indie and more) interesting discussion (about home brewing, Celtic Championship Wrestling to the local art scene) and promoting local and upcoming gigs (Pirate Fest, Siege of Limerick) as well as Ireland’s home grown talent (band interviews with Hornets, Five Will Die, 7.5 Tonnes of Beard, Corr Mhona ). More recently we have provided a space where students can get practical experience and training on radio production and presentation.All expenses incurred by Room 101 are currently met by the station volunteers; this includes PPI and IMRO fees, software licenses, purchasing of equipment, studio rent among other things. Unfortunately this has become unsustainable and we require your sponsorship support if you want us to continue.

So we’ve decided to hold a fundraising event, to raise our profile of the station and to help with our bills. It promises to be a great night, with music from…
HERE WE STAND, young energrtic four piece who have previously supported Honningbarra.
SEBEK, Cork city legends who have a new album coming out soon.
And CORR MHÓNA, who are just about to start an Irish tour

Entry is only €5 and proceeds will go toward helping us afford our IMRO and PPI licensing fees without which the Station could not air legally.
