On March 25, Swedish metal kings AMON AMARTH unleashed their tenth studio album “Jomsviking” via Metal Blade in North America and Sony Music internationally.

Jomsviking — the first concept record in AMON AMARTH’s storied career — tells a tragic tale of love and revenge, backed by the Swedes’ trademark melodic, anthemic metal, which was produced and mixed once again by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, ACCEPT) and also features special guest session drummer Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY). The epic original story is set in the world of the Jomsvikings, the legendary order of mercenary Vikings.

Joining AMON AMARTH will be none other than the mighty TESTAMENT who are currently puttting the final touches to their highly anticipated ‘Brotherhood of the Snake’ album which is due for worldwide release later this year.

According to vocalist Chuck Billy, ‘The Brotherhood of the Snake’ has already been recorded and will continue in the vein of the bands previous album ‘Dark Roots of Earth’. This will be TESTAMENT’s first performance in Ireland since 2009 where they appeared in the then called ’02 Arena’ alongside Judas Priest and Megadeth. Their much anticipated return to Ireland will no doubt be a truely special event that should not be missed!

Finally, completing the bill on November 2nd will be the Swedish riff lords GRAND MAGUS who will be offering a setlist from their setllar back catalogue as well as cuts from ‘Sword Songs’ which was released via Nuclear Blast in May.

There is no question that this show will sell faster than Dave Lombardo’s double kick so consider this a warning! Tickets go on sale Wednesday 15th June at 10am from Ticketmaster outlets nation wide as well as Sound Cellar.
