The lands of Louth will rumble once more with the thunder of drums and screaming guitars as we follow the path of the ancient God Lúgh (pron. Lou) whose name has been given to this county. In Louth, we pride ourselves on being the region where most Irish myths and legends take place. But to us, it’s not considered folklore…. it’s our DNA. Not only does Lúgh lend his name to this county but August, Irish – Lúghnasadh, is also named in his honor and this festival will always celebrate Lúgh on the eve of his month. The Rally Of Lúgh Longarm – Join us in celebrating 2 days of the best in live music and old school revelry that all walks of life will enjoy….all the while making new lifelong friends.

Irish mythology – fascinating and dramatic. Full of war, romance, magic and mystery. It has inspired much of modern Irish art and forms a big part of the Irish identity. The cradle of Irish mythology sits in the the Boyne Valley. The legends begin between Cú Chulainn’s Cooley Mountains and Fionn MacCumhaill’s river Boyne. This is the land of the Celtic God Lúgh. The perfect music to showcase this realm must be the mix of Metal and Blues. Come join us on the weekend 28th-29th July 2018 as we forge new friendships and keep the spirit of real music alive.

R.O.L.L. 2018 – Our ethos is to bring the best in Metal and Blues bands from across the World but also to promote our inspiring heritage and incredible Irish rock talent. The Irish rock scene is coming into a golden era and we will fly the flag proudly supporting new artists whilst paying respect and admiration to the pioneers who have mastered their craft.

The Irish Military War Museum is the perfect venue to showcase this festival. A natural amphitheatre. Not only will you have spectacular views of the Land of Lúgh, you can take a tour of the very impressive award winning museum…all 5000 sq ft. The Irish Military War Museum recreates, in stunning detail, examples of trenches of World War One as well as displays of the highly motorized conflict that was World War Two. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of WW2 Allied and Axis vehicles and deactivated weapons ever assembled in Ireland. And if you fancy some outdoor pursuits, you can drive a real tank, test your aim with archery or try out the inflatable combat zone. It’s all here in spades.
